(I think everyone should have an LJ entry with the subject 'Breasts.')
I have a ton of homework to do, so I decided to watch a movie. I selected Quills because I bought it on Sunday and hadn't watched it since it was in the theatres. Oh, it is lovely. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. Everyone is fabulous, even Michael Caine, who I don't like at all. Joaquin Phoenix is such a cutie boy. The child bride is stunning. And then there's Kate.
Kate Winslet couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag, but my god, she is hot. She is especially hot in Quills with her mussed hair and chambermaid's clothes. Good Lord.
I do a lot of talking about how "big boobs scare me." And they do. I find them somewhat intimidating, probably because I do not come from a well-endowed family. Aside from my paternal grandmother, I have the largest breasts in the family. In the /whole/ family.
(Anyone who knows what I look like can snicker now.)
Needless to say, the idea of carrying around so much weight is baffling to me. And since one of the biggest issues in the universe that I have about myself is my less-than-boyish body, it is doubly so. I don't like having breasts at all (although I'm sure some people would whine if I didn't!), and wouldn't mind if they were gone. At all.
But my my, Ms. Kate's are tasty in that corset. Gah.
I can see why people like those things.

I agree about Winslet. I don't like her acting, but I sure like her boobies.

Date: 2002-01-22 05:19 pm (UTC)One of my friends back home is definitely a breast woman. She'll come up to me and give me a hug, then lay her head on my chest and go "Ahhhhhhh!" with a big smile on her face. Always makes me giggle. =)

Um....let me state for the record that I am not anti-boobs. I like them just fine. I just don't like BIG ones. That's all. And I despise the ones *I* have. They get in the way.
Having said that, let me just say that I agree that Kate is a hottie. But the idea of her in corset still scares the living shit out of me.

Of course, I'm down with that. Kate Winslet really doesn't do much for me, tho'. The corset was nice, but she's not my type.
As for the breast thing, y'all know I'm afflicted. But that's okay, they're going down next year!! I like breasts fine. On OTHER people. On me, they're just in the way.
