Yes, write it down. I am admitting that I was wrong earlier.

The box my soda came in was Henry Wein-something's gourmet root beer... but it was in actuality MOXIE, my favoritest soda in the whole universe!

So that means that it was Luke who sent me the soda, and therefore, HE ROCKS!

THANK YOU, LU3KE!!!

Henry Weinhard. It's an American beer, but the brewery also makes one of the finest, creamiest rootbeers around. I favor it over I.B.C., which I consider a bit too fizzy.

Is it just me, or is it only Americans who enjoy a good root beer?

On root beer

I am a big fan of IBC. I have never had Henry Weinhard. I have, however, had other breweries' root beers and birch beers, and they are usually so very yum.

I less than three root beer. But I looooooooooove Moxie.

I (American) hate it. Hate it hate it hate it. My husband (Australian) loves it. And Ginger beer when he can't get root beer. (I can tolerate Ginger beer) He even drinks Japanese root beer which is just somehow metaphysically wrong in my universe. (But it's the easiest to get in London)

Hmmm...interesting. Hate it?

Even when mixed with vanilla ice cream?

I tried to get a Brit to have a root beer float once. I thought he was gonna gag after his first sip.

So I finished it for him. :) Ain't I a nice guy?

Even a root beer float in a frosted mug at a genuine A&W (which was the absolute closest fast food to my dorm room, but I always walkd on down to subway anyway). Even at Dog & Suds, Sonic, etc.

Hate it. Liquid bubble gum is not for me. I don't even like root beer flavored dumdums.

Bubble gum?? Ew! I HATE bubble gum! I don't even know how you could equate those.

Root beer is...fennel. Delicious, unadulterated, liquid elixir of fennel, which is a highly gourmet ingredient, I'll have you know! :)

At least, I think it is.

Isn't it?

Well it tastes like bubble gum to me. Anyway I am allergic to anise which tastes similar to fennel, so apparently (psychogists allege) that explains why my taste buds hate things with fennel or anise.

Funny how it doesn't hate other things I am allergic to yet love, ala cheddar cheese and soy sauce and mollusks. Hmmf.

Fennel and anise are nasty and taste like black licorice.

But in root beer... mmmmm. Heavenly.

Now I want a root beer float.

My "lil bro" did the same to my husband re: Guinness. Bleeeech. (And yes it was Guinness on tap at a pub in Dublin...doesn't get better or so I am told)

ohhh man

I worked at as a grocery bagger at a super market when I was 16, so I saw all sorts of products that I had never heard of go by. I saw this MOXIE stuff and decided to try it out one time. I don't even think I could even swallow the stuff. I remember spitting it out in the sink and thinking that it was one of the nastiest things I had ever tasted. Then I offered some to my sister who was laughing at me nearby. She said no.

I started to notice that only old guys bought this MOXIE soda stuff. Old guys and smurfs.

Dude, MOXIE is the best soda ever. But I agree, it seems to have a sort of love/hate following. I happen to be on the love side.

I always forget that you are from New England, and then I am pleasantly surprised and reminded.

YAY! (And Yay Moxie!)
