It does! I need to do my legs again, now, actually, but oh yeah, it works. It stings a little, when you pull the hair out, but it doesn't /hurt/. I mean, I don't fear or put off using it because of the pain factor.
Okay, that's a reasonable caveat. =) It doesn't hurt me, maybe I do it correctly. =)
And it's bullsh*t that she needs someone to practice on. If she's gonna do it, it's her hair that she's gonna remove, she doesn't need to remove any of yours as practice before removing her own.
I thought 'Test-Subject' was part of the job description? I don't always mind it, the bald spot did eventually grow back. Plus, I wont hijack the thread into discussion about expirments.. Nope Nope! :_)
This is one of my peeves. I /hate/ the fact that I'm /expected/ to shave my legs, just because I'm a woman. But, I still do it. In fact, I was shaving just the other day, and I've found it's not all that easy to do, with both a nosy puppy, and a nosy kid poking their noses in. Peter says to me, why do you shave? And I said, well, most men don't like hairy women. And he says to me, I don't mind. I'd like you hariy. Heh. Thanks, kid. ;)
I'm the other way around, I can't STAND hair, not on women, not on men. t gets nagged daily to shave his face and chest. (I LOATHE chesthair!!!) He used to shave his legs too but that doesn't bug me as much so it's not worth nagging him over. Oh and he shaves his arms too. I used to do that but my arm hair is so fine it doesn't really show up that much anyway.
Hairy men aren't so bad. My husband is hairy *all over* (except for *ahem*... and his upper arms, strangely). I used to think it's disgusting, but on the right guy it's adorable. He's like a big, furry, cozy teddy bear! :)
I only shave when I expect to go around in shorts or a swimsuit, i.e. normally in the summertime. Other times, if I feel like it and/or can't get away with not doing it. I used to be really self-conscious about it when I ws in high school, to the point that I'd wear sweatpants biking even though it was hot in the summertime. I didn't want anyone to see me with mah hairy legs. :) Now I could care, really. Shaving is such a pain. And don't even start in on care of the dreaded 'bikini area'. Ergh.
I prefer smoothness, but I'm too lazy to pursue it most of the time. It makes me feel sexy. I don't *care* what the men want, I'm going to do whatever makes me feel like I'm a hot sexy bitch. :)
i dig body hair on by girl and on me. though recently as i've come into a more femme identity i have contemplated shaving my legs to be sexy, but i don't because i hate shaving, i hate stubble, and i like the way hair feels blowing in the breeze, and i like being a little rebelious.
My ex had hair on his back. Not a huge amount, but enough to be icky. Now, his father and brother, they have /so/ much, it pokes out the back of their shirt collars. Ugh!

And it smells good. =)

I wouldn't try to practice on you... =) *hugs*

On girls... I don't have a problem with hair. What I don't like is stubble.
On me, I prefer smoothness, but on my woman, I can be happy with either. =)
