I just came back from M's going-away party. I love walking into KYC - I really feel at home there - so many smiles, so many hugs. I saw some youth I hadn't seen since September, which was nice. I got a lot of hair compliments. M hugged me a lot and had his picture taken with me, and he'd saved a piece of pizza for me. It was mushroom (yay) and onion (ugh) and when I told him I didn't want it, he was so sad that I ended up picking off the onions and sharing it with him. And there was cake - just what I need, heh.

When I was leaving, he signed 'I love you' to me. What a sweetheart. I'm glad I still sign enough to be able to say 'I feel the same way.' Everyone can do the 'I love you' thing. I wanted to be special, dammit!

Dude, Mark from Pump Up the Volume /is/ me. I always wanted to be him. Every time I watch that movie (and of course I own it), I want to start a pirate radio station. And he got a totally hot girl in that movie. Yeah.

(I actually know a lot more than that, I suppose... like the days of the week and members of the family and silly things like "candy machine" and "broken" and "brave" and "mean." I'm so weird.)

I grew up with a deaf cousin. I remember nothing now though. Dude I suck.

There is hope for me yet! You know, I think I could say some sort of "I grew up with a deaf cousin," even. Although I might have "grew up" wrong, I bet someone could understand it.

Teehee...yer doin better than me sweetie. I should take an ASL class again. Its a shame to have lost that. especially since my cousin, whom I now never see, is still deaf, and it'd be nice to talk to her at weddings n stuff I guess...
Hey if Jenn and I both learn, we can curse out the saleschicks at lane bryant or talk about the patetic people in the mall...right in front of thier faces....hmmm....

Dude - THAT WAS THE BEST PART OF ASL!

My friend Kathy was in my ASL class, and we would then use our knowledge to talk cattily about people... not only would they not understand, but they wouldn't want to look at us because they were afraid of "staring at the deaf people."

Hee. We should all take an ASL refresher course together!
