Sunday afternoon at the Simmons residence
Apr. 8th, 2002 10:50 amSo I went to the home of
The day included junk food, crass comments, cattiness, hiding out on the back porch, Taboo, playing with little girls, distributing THE GAY, scrapping with my little brother, admiring Lara's and Steve's shoes, breast attacks, watching Millie eat everything, giggling a lot, taking photos, walking barefoot, tree climbing, and Burger King.
I learned that Adam and I really /are/ related. There's no other explanation for how similar we are, or how we torment each other. Even though I told him I have a real problem with hands around my neck, he managed to put me in a headlock and drag me around. Of course, it didn't help that I shoved him off the chair we were sharing, bashed his head into a wall until the words on the strap of his ball cap indented into his forehead, and practiced my roundhouse kicks on his (very very hard) butt.
At one point, he and I ended up out in the front yard and he got the brilliant idea to run and football-tackle me to the ground. So he ducked down, ran, caught me with his shoulder, wrapped his arms around me, and took me down, bashing my head against the ground. He says it bounced. I know that all of my teeth ground together, and the back of my head hit so hard that my /nose/ was hurting, like I had eaten too much ice cream. It hurt through last night. I think I have a concussion. The force of hitting the ground has done a number on my neck, too. Kickboxing is going to /hurt/ tonight, what with the neck, the head, and the fact that my quads are still screaming from TMBG.
There is a reason why football players wear helmets. Ow.
My shirt got ruined in the process, too. It was one of the few white shirts I owned (with a picture of Pinocchio that says 'Boys Lie' under it), and now it is covered in grass stains on the back. I hope I can get them out - I don't wear that shirt much. Aaah well. Baby brothers are such trouble! Now he owes me a strawberry milkshake.
After almost everyone left, Patti, Scott, Adam and I went to Burger King (which made me nauseous but was yummy!) and then I left. I was so bouncy and cheery and happy. You know, I /really/ like these people. A lot.

Date: 2002-04-08 08:11 am (UTC)We did a rush job painting the wrong color on our garage door. And I touched up the front door which they may or may not replace from them botching up the hole for the peephole. :-P Then we went over to a friend's house that we hadn't seen since our wedding. So maybe next time we'll be able to come...
