[I emailed a KYC volunteer friend of mine to ask if she was going to the fundraiser tonight, and whether I should go. This is the reply I received.]

I have to work the door all night and I was afraid I'd have to do it all by myself which would drop the fun capacity dramatically. But fortunately, i am volunteering with Jack who is so nice (but not so fun). So you should come and sporadically make me laugh so I don't become a bitter resentful volunteer. That would make my whole night!!!
