Find a song. Two, if you're indecisive, or a Libra. This song should:

remind you of me
describe me
make you think of me

In 1994 or so, I made a mix tape for a friend of mine called "Your Own Personal Judie." There are lots of songs in the cosmos that I see myself in, but what about you?

Leave artist and title, and I will search for the mp3. I think it would be a fun way to think of all of you.

Thanks in advance!

Easy!

This is actually a piece of cake.

There are a zillion songs that remind me of you. Anything by Annette. Me First & The Gimme Gimmies. The Furs. All of it reminds me a little of you.

However, the song that unquestionably reminds me of you, makes me think of you, and DESCRIBES you is The Glory Of Love. The Peter Cetera version more so than the New Found Glory version.

The first email I ever sent you had that song as an attachment. =)

Nope, but now that you've picked it, no one else can!

"Duvet" (BOA) reminds me of you. It's the first song we both liked.

"Princess of Power" (Two Nice Girls) was the first track that came to mind.
(Though "Eleven" would be much much better.)

"Orange Crush" strikes me as the REM song that fits you best.

I don't know. I could probably spend a whole CD trying to answer that. =)

Isn't a duvet one of those things in French bathrooms that you use to clean your butt??

Oh...wait...never mind.

I will look for the songs by Two Nice Girls.

Believe it or not, on my college app. for Mount Holyoke College (my first choice school), I included poetry based on "Orange Crush" by REM.

That's uncanny.

Gah, I want to change ! Listened to those songs last night and realized I must have been on crack without knowing it. They are in a word too girly.

Go with "Only Today," which is mellow and was the one I was thinking of but couldn't remember the title. Or "For The Inauguration" which is political and sarcastic. =)

Or just get the CD, _Chloe Liked Olivia_ and pick your favorite. Lots of good songs.

"Closer" by NIN.

HAHA! j/k!
I don't have a song that reminds me of you cuz I've never really thought about it in the short time that I've been like, reading your journal regularly.. But now that you mentioned it, I'll be on the lookout! :O)

YAY!!! for listening to Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto!!!! (Or Pizzicato Five, or whatever cover artist you may be listening to)

Out of the 12 cds in the changer in my car, three of them contain that song. In fact, I listened to it on the way to work today... It was a most appropriate afternoon for listening to bossa nova.

I watched Moulon Rouge for the first time a couple of weeks ago. When it was over, the people who were with me didn't believe that Ewan played Obe Wan Kenobe in Star Wars: First Episode.

Dude, it's seriously hard to believe it's the same Ewan. I have never in the entire history of my life liked Ewan McGregor (except maybe a little in Velvet Goldmine), and I am so thoroughly in love with him in Moulin Rouge.

Hola!

I just added you to my friends list. Hope you don't mind!

I saw you over in [livejournal.com profile] rubyfruitjungle and came over here to check out your journal. For the first time in a long time I actually felt the urge to view the "previous entries". :)

I also see you over at this cutie pie's journal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/noog/) every once in a while and like what you have to say. :)

Indecisive Scorpio

Date: 2002-04-25 09:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aliandra.livejournal.com

So I get two choices....

St. Judy's Comet, Kenny Loggins.

Little boy
Won't you lay your body down
Little boy
Won't you close your weary eyes
Ain't nothing flashing but the fireflies

Won't you run come see St. Judy's Comet
Roll across the skies
And leave a spray of diamonds
In its wake
I long to see St. Judy's Comet
Sparkle in your eyes
When you awake

AND

The Last Unicorn, also Kenny Loggins

When the last moon is cast
over the last star of morning
and the future has passed
without even a last desperate warning
then look into the sky where through
the clouds a path is formed
Look and see her as she sparkles
its the Last Unicorn

I’m alive,

I’m alive

Something about them.

St. Judy's Comet is one of my favorite songs, especially as sung by Paul Simon.

It's on my list of "songs I will sing to my children."

For no reason at all, I just feel like adding the Tom Jones/Cranberries cover of the classic Talking Heads song "Burning Down the House."

It doesn't make me think of you at all, but it is pretty cool.
