Yesterday in the parking lot at Taco Bell, one of crena's lovely children thought I was a guy. SCORE! She was like, "Why is that guy..." and then realized it was /me/ making faces at her. I rule.

I just spent a good hour and a half or so at the playground outside Whetstone Library with Carina, Tayler and Tyler. They make me feel young and fun and vibrant! Tayler demanded that I play with her at first ("You go with Tyler, Mommy, and Jude goes with me."), and I was happy to oblige. She ran me all over the playground! I even helped Carina hide a bottle of pop from the girls. (Heh, I've been here too long. I said "pop." But I know it's soda. SODA SODA SODA!)

Jennifer's having a rough time today and my heart is just about breaking. I hate feeling useless, but I know that right now, there's really nothing I can do. I want to, though. I hope that's enough. I love you.

I called my brother this morning, which is always fun. And then I called Jodie, also a good thing. I had yummy Subway for lunch. I played with the girls. I'm having homemade sushi tonight with Cary, Rachel, and Steve - and then maybe Gallery Hop. Tomorrow's the AIDS Walk (I need to find a time/place to meet everyone). All good things.

I know it must be raining, 'cause a man ain't supposed to cry, but I look up and I don't see a cloud.

Thanks for listening always, Carina. The not-so-subtle hints to stay in Columbus are starting to, you know, wear on me. Don't tell anyone.

In the Mid-west, we don't use public transportation. We just stand on a street corner and smile until some nice passing motorist stops and offers to give us a ride to whereever we'd like to go. And no one smells bad. And there's no one peeing in alleys. And no one ever swears or is rude or unkind.

#1) An earlier LJ entry had you saying that if you moved to Boston you would have to live in squalor. Squalor=Not Good.

#2) You're right. It's not pop. However, it's also not soda. It's coke. No matter what the label reads, it's coke. I thought your time with us down here had taught you that. Perhaps it's time for a refresher course....

Bizzarely, it's not in NM which is right between them. Soda is the term of choice there. Though pop is in use and can be used with only receiving strange looks instead of a lynching.

Actually... it's a southern thang, too. I call everythign coke. Pepsi, RC Cola, Coca Cola, Crown something. Been raised that way over ehre in South Carolina.

I giggle whenever someone asks me if I want a soda, or a pop. It's cute.

Of course, when I ask, "Want some coke?" They're lifting their brows. "Coca-cola!" Ooooh.. Geez. :)

I'll never forget the time I was living in LaGrange and visiting dch4 in Atlanta, and he was like, "Do you want a Coke?" I don't usually like Coke, but I was thirsty, so I said, "sure," and he followed that with, "What kind of Coke do you want?"

Me: What?
Him: What kind of Coke do you want?
Me: What do you mean?
Him: I'm got Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper...

You should live wherever you feel you need to be right now. Its a decision that by rights, only you can make. What we all want is irrelevant really. Selfishly I vote Boston. Realistically, be happy, be centered, if you need more time, take more time. Somone suggested a summer sublet, thats reasonable. Maybe a summer sublet somewhere that is neither of those places is reasonable too. Pretty pretty princesses are even better when they are HAPPY.

yeah, I can understand that. It gets complex. Know that you have a decent support system who will give you love and support no matter what you decide or how it works out.
