Okay, I'm insane.

I know I'm insane. But I'm seriously considering the possibility of Jennifer moving to Columbus to room with me.

Maybe it's just because I really want to live in the 1900s potato chip factory. Or the place with the gorgeous stained glass.

Or maybe it's because I'm just plain nuts. But part of me thinks that if we could live somewhere together, and just hang out with no pressure, who knows what could happen?

(Yes, I know it could be disatrous. Yes, I know we could end up hating each other. Yes, I know that we might not be able to just be friends. But the POTATO CHIP FACTORY!!)

Sigh. Life is complicated. I love those apartments, though.

I have one cat, but they are technically not allowed. They don't seem to check up on us at all. When they call for maintenence, we put the cat out for the day. The actual landlord lives in Kentucky. Dooley and Company just manages it. Check out Dooley for listings, regardless. They have lots of stuff in the Village.

that was what I was thinking. I mean, I live in Midtown Atlanta, and I'm looking at Downtown Toronto, and neither of them are known for anything resembling sane rents, so I'm looking at these 5th floor walkups in T.O. for $700, 600sq. ft, and then she's posting things like *that*, and my brain is just saying "Ok, sure, it's Ohio and all, but *still*...."

canadian, at least. but canadian salaries are also comparable.

if I get a job there, I'll get paid about what I get paid here, $ wise...ie, my last job here was at $53k a year. I'd expect about the same there, not whatever $53kUSD translates to.

Tuscaloosa was the same way. My friend Drake had a $650 apartment, but I never could figure out why, when you could live somewhere totally acceptable, with TWO bedrooms, for $285.
