judecorp: (crow despair)
It's 1pm. I was supposed to have this lunch meeting thinger at noon, so I didn't worry about having no food with me. Of course, we walk there and the person we're supposed to meet with says, "I have to make an announcement at our full board meeting, don't worry, it will only take 5 minutes." 40 minutes later, Brett and I left, sans meeting, sans food. I had a piece of a broken chocolate chip cookie. Good thing I'm going to Brennan's later for TAG and peanut butter.

It's also frigidly cold outside, and I'm supposed to (you're shocked) hang posters around campus today. I think I will put them in my backpack so I don't freeze my hands holding them. I wore a thin button down (the one I stole from [livejournal.com profile] youtsk in 1995 or so) and my crew windbreaker, so I will be chilly. I will walk briskly to make up for it, or something...

except that I'm a totally sleepy boy this afternoon. I went to bed late (fell asleep at 1:30? 2?) because I was catching up with Kieron. Ha ha ha, she is relentless. Come to find out she had a crush on me when I had a crush on her. Way back. In college. Except, of course, that neither of us said anything. She thought I was straight. I was too intimidated to tell her otherwise because in my mind, she was the Uberdyke. I couldn't compare. Ha ha ha! I fell asleep at 2ish and Mark called around 3 (thank goodness!) to say that he was fine. It was a tremendous relief to hear his voice without the frantic-ness that was betrayed in his email (phew!). A. was awake, oddly, and I could hear him typing at the computer. At 3am. He went to bed at 10. So I couldn't get back to sleep right away, hearing tapping, tapping, tapping... (I leave the bedroom door open for the cats.) and thinking. I'm always thinking. Bah!

Now I am going to load my bag with posters and a stapler, and on the way I will mail cereal to [livejournal.com profile] reveries and a smurfy letter to her son, and get cash to go eat bagels with [livejournal.com profile] happy2beso.

Tuesday's Question: Who would you do - Elton John or David Bowie?
(My answer - Bowie all the way. Yowza!)

I'm sorry, [livejournal.com profile] reveries. I screwed up. I walked across campus in the pouring rain to mail your Boo Berry, and I went into the post office and looked for a box to ship it in, and found one, and put it together, only to realize that I'd left my address book on my desk at work. I'd taken it out to rearrange my bookbag because I had posters to post, too, in the rain, and I guess I was so sleepy that I got distracted. So I'm going to leave the cereal here and try to remember to take it to the post office on Thursday. I'm sorry.

In better news, thank you, [livejournal.com profile] kyoki_tenchi, for helping me feel useful this afternoon on the phone. I really do empathize with your situation and care about you to death, and I'm just sorry I haven't been doing more while you've been going through this. I really had no idea it had become this bad. Pulling away like I have was not the greatest thing to do.

In more better news, the cream of potato soup I had with [livejournal.com profile] happy2beso at Brennan's was yummy. And she is, as always good company.

I have owwie hangnails. Ow ow ow. I should stop picking them. Goth, I'm tired. So tired. Even drank caffienated soda here at work. Soooo tired.

Sad lyrics alert! )

Sincerest thanks to [livejournal.com profile] awl for Ani DiFranco's first CD.

Muchas smoochas, you! :) Entirely unexpected. And wholly unnecessary.

THANK YOU!
