Is this not the most adorable userpic you have ever seen?

My girl is quite the arm's-length photographer.

Muchas gracias, [livejournal.com profile] fumblefactory, for the package! j00 r0x0r!

[Translation: He sent me a mix CD he made (which I was expecting) and a box of Tazo tea (which was a total surprise) and a nifty explanation of why he chose each song (which is adorable!).]

Dude, that is totally awesome. I'm already trying to decide what to send you back.

Obrigado!

(in no particular order)

Yesterday when I was going through my built up mail, I saw I had something from amazon.com. I said, "I don't remember ordering anything from Amazon." A. said, "It was on your wish list and I wanted to make a copy of it, so I bought it for you." It was Tegan and Sara's "The Business of Art" which I really wanted, but I /don't/ want him buying me things. So I said, "You paid for it, here's your copy," and I handed it over. What is /up/ with that?

I now have the electronic copies of the divorce madlibs forms. Now I just need to find all of the financial information. Ugh.

I am already tired of sending resumes. Sent two more this evening, have a new website to look at. Realized that the two cover letters I sent out tonight had the awful L--- last name, because I used the template of an older letter. Craptastic.

I found out today that two brothers that I used to work with in the fall went joyriding one night last week and are now both dead. They slammed into a parked semi at a rest area going about 70 mph or so. They were 14 and 12 years old. They stopped coming to treatment with no notice last fall, and of course now I think I somehow failed them and their mother. Gotta love guilt.

My field placement lasts two weeks longer than I thought it did. This means I work there through the entirety of May, and one week of June. I was hoping to be done with field placement so my girl could come see me in May and I would have some extra free time. Now I don't have the extra free time. Joy. And I was going to use that time to do moving-related stuff.

I was supposed to have sushi with Cary tomorrow night, but he forgot about a previous appointment. No sushi for me.

Yesterday, while on the phone with my father, he decided to tell me that last week, my grandfather had to be taken back to the hospital. He'd been having a lot of nosebleeds, and one wouldn't stop, and wouldn't you know it - his blood pressure was 200/something. Great. But he /couldn't/ tell me this when it happened, so I could have come home. I was in New England. No. He tells me 6 hours after I get back to Columbus.

Speaking of Dad, he has a spur and arthritis in his spine, which is giving him a pinched nerve and numbness in his arm. He's worried he's going to become permanently disabled.

Feh.
