The event 8 years in the making!
May. 17th, 2002 11:25 amI'm getting ready to drive to a city I've never been to (Pittsburgh) to see two people I've never met. I first started talking to
ralphmelton when I was just barely 18 years old, and much later I got the privilege of talking to his lovely wife
lorimelton. Eight years later, I'm going to go meet Ralph (and Lori). I'm nervous and excited all at the same time! *boing*!
It's funny, I hardly log on to CDI anymore, and hardly talk to Ralph anymore, but spend a heck of a lot of time communicating with Lori. I'm really looking forward to meeting them, finally. It should be a very good time. (I get to meet their three kitties, too!)
All this 'I' talk, of course, means Jennifer isn't coming out here. [Please don't insert 'it's for the best' or other such platitudes here.] Hopefully I won't fall asleep at the wheel. I got three hours of sleep (sorry, Lori, I will try to stay awake for you!). Bleh.
My Lara got a job offer, so I guess that means she's officially going to leave us. I'll need to find some other pretty girl's hair to play with. I'm not a stalker (much), but Lara's got the perfect hair to play with!
Tomorrow night, I rush back to Columbus to watch Tayler and Tyler. YAY! I wonder if there are any fun kids' movies playing at Carriage Place.
Okay, time to get ready to go. Miss me lots. Hopefully nothing will fall from the sky on my brandy-new windshield.
