I have an interview on Tuesday afternoon for this position at
Southeast, Inc.:
HIV Case Manager
Full-time position available to provide outreach case management to persons with HIV disease. Will link clients to community resources in a 7 county area. LSW and previous similar experience or knowledge of HIV disease required.
There is no mention of what the salary is, and that scares me. However, Southeast is an okay agency - it's queer-friendly(ish) and hires some queer people. My beloved Patty from Phoenix Pride is employed there (I think I need to call her tomorrow), and I actually did a little piece of my MSW I internship there (I made sure to mention that to the woman on the phone, I'm so slick, "I think I met you before..." etc.). My internship experience there was positive - I was observing groups for domestic violence perpetrators, and everyone there was really nice to me.
I didn't apply for a specific position. There were several case management positions open and when I emailed my resume, I just asked to be considered for one of the available positions. I feel like my Big Gay Resume spoke for me on this one. I'm hoping for good things - decent salary, good benefits, good working environment, and that the job doesn't suck as much as some case management jobs do. We'll see! :)
