I really don't want to go to work today. What I would rather be doing is blasting holiday music and writing out holiday cards. Shoot, when am I going to have time to do that? I think I got 6 done this morning. Maybe. While it's great spending so much time with [livejournal.com profile] kieron, I keep putting things off. Oops. At least I finished Gender Outlaw so I can return it to the library tomorrow.

Last night, she got the rubber duckie tub treads I've been hunting for at Target. I hope that little things like this never stop thrilling me. *crosses fingers*

Did I mention that prudentlikeKelly wore the HAWT pink librarian sweater and the saucy glasses last night? *humps*

I guess I need to get going now. My cats are all snuggly, though, and I want to join them! Argh! Grey mornings don't exactly encourage me.

My Jennifer was in a car accident this afternoon. Her coworker says that's she's shaken up more than anything, but she's in the emergency room and I'm having a hell of a time trying to reach someone with some authority so I can get out of here and get to her.

God.

[Okay. I got clearance to leave. I'm out.]

She's fine. She had a whole bunch of x-rays and they all came out clean, and they've sent her home with nothing more than some horsechoker ibuprofen caplets. She'll probably be sore for the next couple of days, but that's about it. I'm very relieved about that.

She's concerned about her Jeep and transportation issues, but as far as I'm concerned, these are the least of my worries. In my mind are two things (other than the obvious): 1) Thank goodness her health insurance started yesterday, and 2) I need to stop procrastinating about making a medical proxy form.

Big thank yous to everyone who is/was concerned. I appreciate it.
