judecorp: (remember it)
What year was it? 1992-1993

What were your three favorite bands? REM; 10,000 Maniacs; Indigo Girls

What was your favorite outfit? Senior year? Probably some combination of the following: stompy shoes, jeans, tshirts, flannel shirts (dude, these were the Eddie Vedder days), and hoodies. Also hats.

What was up with your hair? I had the same old boring bob (sometimes chin-length, sometimes shoulder-length) for all of high school.

Who were your best friends? Michelle R, Jessica S, Jessica C, Dave M, Eric G, Aaron C. I do believe we called ourselves "The Posse" for reasons I don't remember now.

What did you do after school? Depends on the day. I was in a million clubs (Art Club, Science Club, French Club, Peer Ministry, Youth Electing Sobriety, Science Olympiad, Math Team, yadda yadda) and a couple of sports teams (softball, intramural volleyball). I also had to go home and do whatever chores my evil stepmonster had left for me. And talk to my boyfriend for a million hours on the telephone or something.

Did you take the bus? No. Michelle picked me up every day and drove me to school in her little red Escort.

Who did you have a crush on? Monique. Also Mike B, crush forever and ever amen.

Did you fight with your parents? Often. I fought with my stepmother because she was pretty much a jerk to me, probably because I made her children look bad and she didn't particularly like that. And then I would fight with my father over whatever crap I was fighting with my stepmother about.

Who did you have a celebrity crush on? Wil Wheaton. Also Michael Stipe. Also Natalie Merchant. Also ALF. (Okay, I made that last one up.)

Did you smoke cigarettes? Never. Not even once.

Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker? Heck no! Seniors had the primo big lockers at my school! You could fit a person in my locker (a fact I proved when I locked Michelle in hers). I hated carrying my books, and avoided it at all costs.

Did you have a 'clique'? I guess the aforementioned "Posse" was like a clique, but I was involved in so many stupid activities that I had friends all over the place.

Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now? Married to a gay man, in a big house, with several children. Possibly working, possibly not.

Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater? Michelle and I went to Chan's almost every Friday night for dinner. But "The Max" for Mount was definitely the Applebee's on Diamond Hill.

Admit it, were you popular? Nah. I don't think so. But I had more "in-crowd cross-over" than some of the other people I was friends with, mostly because a lot of the popular kids in my class were also the smart kids, so they were in some of my advanced science and math classes.

Who did you want to be just like? Angela Chase, "My So-Called Life"

What did you want to be when you grew up? Famous. I'm not sure I cared how.

I bought some Garnier Fructis hair products last night because they were on sale at CVS, and it's easy for me to impulse-buy hair products because Jennifer and I are never satisfied with our hair. So yeah, I used one of them this morning, I think it's called "Smoothing Milk" or some crap like that (who gets paid to think up this stuff??!?) and it's okay. But my head smells like a bowl of fruit now! I guess I should have expected this from something called "fructis" but I guess I just wasn't thinking. Oops.

Coochie Coochie!
