judecorp: (if i ruled the world)
Okay, I don't understand what the big deal is regarding Cookie Monster on Sesame Street saying that cookies are a "sometimes food." I mean, really, people: Cookies ARE sometimes foods! I don't feel like anyone is robbing my childhood or whatever by making Cookie Monster eat less cookies. Maybe I'm messed up or something, but this /so/ does not bother me at all.

With all of the kids I work with who eat nothing but junk food, with all of the kids I know that are so picky they only eat one thing (macaroni and cheese, cheese and crackers, etc.)... I think this is a good thing. Heck, if Cookie Monster can branch out with his food choices, anyone can!

p.s. It's always disturbing to me when people I know from different circles overlap. Today I saw wasted_breathSeany bestowing kudos on sketchthecowJason's BBS documentary. I met Jason in 1994 and Sean in 2002. There are not supposed to be connections! I can't handle this Small World crap!

We enjoyed some QT with two of my favorite things: the sun and the ocean. After a slow, lazy morning of pancake-making, Bush's Brain on Free On Demand, and the last half hour of The Believer, Jen and I ran some errands and decided to hit the beach for some beach-food-eating. We headed out to Wollaston to sit on the patio of The Clam Box, and called biophile6Dr. Chris to test his spontaneity. (He passed.) After a belly full (pun intended) of clam strips by the seaside, we once again ate too much ice cream. (Something about this man just makes me crave ice cream.)

It was nice to sit outside in the gorgeous weather soaking up some sun, and watch the people go by and the kites in the air. I love the smell of brine in the air and the overabundance of seafood. The ocean is so homey to me.

I forget every winter but am reminded with a vengeance in the spring that sun exposure makes me itchy. Ugh, I can't stop scratching the sides of my face! Help, keelamonsterDr. Keely!

Also, I ordered Jen and I some bargain tickets to the Big Apple Circus. It's right down the road in its very own big top! I know I should hate the circus on principle (and I do, really) but the five-year-old inside of me just says, "oooh, FUN!"
