And to drink... Peru!
Mar. 12th, 2006 09:20 pmWe went to Harvest for brunch with Jen and Olex where I ate far too much French food - crepe with cheese and grapes as a first course, openface croque madame for a second course, and chocolate raspberry crepe as a dessert course. Dear god, that was the richest meal I have eaten maybe ever. The sauce on the croque... so heavy. (As will I be now that I've eaten it.) It was delicious and lovely, and the company was good. Too bad Metformin doesn't like really rich or really sweet foods, because it sure let me know later! Still, yum. Thanks, Jen and Olex!
I woke up around 6am and couldn't get back to sleep (annoying), so I read a billion pages of the book on Down Syndrome that a coworker lent me. I just got a new case with a family who just had a baby with Down's; they know absolutely nothing about it and I don't always have the greatest way to explain. This book is written for new parents and it's incredibly helpful. What's awesome is that my coworker randomly brought it in for me on Friday, saying, "I thought you might want to borrow this." She is awesome. (Her Master's degree was specifically in infant and toddler development, so she's chock full of info.)
I scheduled myself a totally jam-packed week, probably a mistake but I'm trying to bank hours for our upcoming vacation. I think I scheduled 32 productivity hours this week (quota is 24) - even /without/ three hours of training tomorrow morning that is insane. I hereby declare next Saturday as Vegetable Day.
...and it's sad that I'm already thinking about next Saturday.
