Old habits die hard, I suppose. But it adds up so quickly! So quickly, I say!
The plan was just to head down to the mall to fill up our cat litter bucket at Petco... and then I made the mistake of adding, "and stop into the mall a bit so I can get some better-fitting underwear."
Well, the good news is that we got both cat litter and underwear.
We also got a cat toy and cat treats at Petco. And underwear for Jen, and a new shirt for me (Target), and some toiletries for Jen (Target), and some t-shirts for Jen (Old Navy), and two adorable onesies (Baby Gap). I am now calling a MAJOR moratorium on us going into Baby Gap, because not only do I want to buy EVERYTHING in there for babies, I also want all of their maternity clothes and we all know that Gap = $$$$. Dear God, but that stuff is so dang cute! I just can't pay more for a baby's outfit than I would spend on my own outfit.
However, the redeeming thing about going into Baby Gap (aside from aforementioned two cute onesies that were in the clearance section, one of which was adorned with a monkey!) was that the nice lady behind the register knew I was pregnant! I wanted to just kiss her.

Clean Fest 2007 continues! Jen brought a bunch of stuff down to the basement, we hung up a bunch of clothes in the baby's closet and moved more of the baby stuff into the closet so it's not all over the house. Dishes are done, kitchen is clean, laundry is going, cat boxes are done, garbage and recycle are out, Jen's clothes are put away, and we hung actual art up in our bedroom finally. (We've been here how long?) Later this week we will hang art in the guest room, put the freecycled bedskirt on the guest bed, and finally install the tie-backs for the guest room curtains.
The next big project will of course be painting the baby's room, assembling all of the furniture, and hanging art in there as well. I can't believe the third trimester starts on Wednesday!
Also on deck: painting the dining room, trying to do SOMETHING with our crappy yard, assembling the china cabinet that has been sitting in boxes in the living room since early December, hanging art in the bathroom, and organizing the basement a little bit. I hope nesting is a months-long process! (And that it hits Jen, too.)
