Last night, while I was not so dilligently cut/pasting writing my paper, I received interesting email. I guess a month or more ago when I was looking for places to live in Boston, I put up a profile on Roommate Access. So last night I get email in answer to my ad.
The email was from a 26-year-old queer girl who lives in a two bedroom apartment in the Harvard Ave/Comm Ave block of Allston, and the rent is $577/month for the summer, and $600/month when the lease flips over in September.
For the record, this is what I wanted to pay, and I wanted to live in Allston, and I wanted to live with one female-type person my age who was not a student. Ugh! And on Roommate Access, they have this questionnaire about messes, bills, parties, drugs, etc and we are a two-way match. And the kicker? She ends the email with this: "I've always lived with cats, but I don't currently have any and I miss them very much. I wanted to get one but I was going to wait and see if my roommate would have one." So the cats wouldn't be a problem /and/ there would be no other cats to compete with.
To top that off, I got email from a job I'd blown off asking me if I wanted to interview. It's not particularly what I want to do, though, but it lets me know that eventually, people would start calling me. Sigh. Once again, I find myself at a tough decision. Of course, I could just say that I already made my decision and just cheese off.
But I ended up emailing her back to ask her if there is parking, and if the room is the size of a postage stamp. We'll see what happens, right? At least the big paper is done.
In other news, for some reason I'm not getting the mail that Coworker Velma is sending me. Apparently I'm supposed to do a presentation with her today. This sucks because a) I have a lunch date with Ryan, and b) I'm wearing shorts, a tshirt, and sandals. Umm... Not gonna do it! Eff it.

I won't nudge for Boston, since you'll be closer, 'cause that's just /not/ fair. :)
But I'll be thinking it! *smewch*
