Last night, Ryan was making fun of me about my weakness for hippie girls.

This brings back disconcerting memories of my very first girl friend, damn your eyes! :)

I have a weakness for patchouli and bare feet too!

Yuck. I hate patchouli.

Don't worry, I still love you.

But I /love/ patchouli. Not as much as I love sandalwood (my favorite), but mmmmm. :)

Amen to that.

I just smell patchouli and think of slacker stoners who don't shower. ;)

I would think that ANY flavored deodorant would mostly SUCK.

I used to be a big time hippie, but I never got into the patchouli. I always thought it smelled like... I dunno, topsoil or something.

Instead, you used to smell like lilacs and make me sneeze! :)

I remember when we first moved in together and you had all those hippie clothes. :)

I so love patchouli and grass underneath my feet.. :)

But, do I dig that girl and Chaz, and Jude, and.....

Patchouli, long loose hair, bare feet, loose clothing, aaaaaaaaaahhh!

I particularly like the example you gave too. Julia Stiles=yum!

Very much in agreement on the Julia Stiles thing.

I found the store...okay, it took my a minute to adjust to the aroma of incense wafting out of it...that store at our local mall. (I was right shocked we had one. I looked through the little pewter figurines, but alas, no squirrels.) What was funny was listening to the shopkeepers talking back and forth. "So the other night I took a bath in freesia, and then everybody kept coming up going, 'You smell so good!'"

All that but the patchouli sounds really good right now. (Since I can't smell, the scent doesn't bother me but the often strong aroma makes my eyes water.)

I minorly regret chopping my hair off in 1999, but it's growing back. I've got to resist the call of the #4 guard in the summer heat of North Carolina, even if the place is a bunghole (no offense, solcita) where nobody would notice me.

Hippy chicks are easy ;P

Seriously there is something about the inherient freedom of spirit that a hippy chick has that anal retentive types such as myself secretly long after. It never lasts though. Chaos and Order can only share a bed so long, until Order starts spraying Chaos with deorderant and Chaos sleeps with Order's friends. Or so I'm told.
