You know, it's nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I'm actually really happy about it. REALLY happy. It's like I can make a big strikethrough in the To-Do list of my life.

I have a new license, and a new social security card on the way. The credit cards have all been notified. I should probably call other places too, like my student loan, but I'll do that later. I'm just really surprised I don't feel bad at all. Maybe I'm in denial or something, I don't know. But I'm happy.

IT'S DONE.

nahh... there is no reason to feel bad. I mean, you've already incurred whatever trauma, shattered dreams, disenfranchised hopes, and any other Elvis-Costello-closing-song-kind-of-bitterness that you might expect to encounter from this experience.

Now you are wrapping things up and moving on... If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if you begin to feel free-er and more liberated -- especially once you get out of that apartment!

You being happy is what is important in *your* life.....and this wasn't making you happy or didn't make you happy for a long time...a long long time. I am not surprised that you have only positive feelings right now.

The little loose ends that were floating about that are now getting finished will only make it better and better.
