Also gone:
Jun. 17th, 2002 11:12 amMost of the Rubbermaid storage containers
All of the tools
The television
Both bookshelves
and who knows what else.
I guess after I motivate myself to go to the bank, I should stop somewhere to get more of those containers and a set of tools, otherwise I can't take my futons apart.
Poop.

The bastard!
Date: 2002-06-17 08:06 am (UTC)I admit that when I moved out on James, I took some things that I knew he wanted, because I wanted to be spiteful and mean. It made me feel good. ;) But I didn't take anything that /belonged/ to him, because that's just theft.
*HUGS* Love ya, Jude.

Date: 2002-06-17 08:17 am (UTC)As for the tools, the one big toolbox was his, and I expected that to go. But before he got that one for Christmas one year, we had a smaller little toolkit that just had the basic necessities. I bought that one.
I told him to take the television. I just wish he had said when he was moving, because right now I'm paying for cable TV and no television! I'm mostly annoyed about the bins and tools.

Date: 2002-06-17 08:41 am (UTC)The condition was that she was to get a job, pay us rent, pay for her own food, etc etc. I told her I would cover her share of the expenses until such time that she had a paying job. This reduced Plunky's share of the bills to 1/3, so I s'pose it was good for her ... it turned out to suck for me. Brandy stayed with us for two weeks, during which time she stayed on the couch and watched daytime TV and ate all of our food. At the end of that two weeks, Brandy went back to Wilmington to visit her spineless little boyfriend. Plunky, Bryan, and I had been planning to go to Busch Gardens the next weekend. I said to Plunky (or she said to me, I can't quite remember which), "You know ... if Brandy was going to run out on us, this would be the weekend to do it. We won't be here, she can move her stuff out ..." We both said, "Naw. That won't happen. But just in case ..." We took her TV (it was a really nice, big one) and put it in the guy's apartment who lived below us. We figured, we'll be back before she will and she'll never know we did it, and we can laugh about it later.
We return from Busch Gardens to an apartment empty of Brandy's things and a note asking about her television.
The moral of the story? No matter how good you are to some people, they just have no common decency. Even though he moved out without telling you, in a way, this is good - because now you know that you owe him nothing. In fact, you were a lot better to him than you should have been, all things considered. THE JUDE is now THE FREE! :) Love you, babe.
