Just when I was about to buy airfare for Jess and Mark's wedding, the airfare to Providence shot back up to $200. Stupid expensive summer airfare. Sigh. The e-savers don't even look much like e-savers. I wonder if someone would pick me up in Hartford.

The time to borrow things from me is when I'm drinking, because then I let you borrow things and I forget I own them. I looked at my own copy of Election on Adam's floor and said, "Hey wow! You have Election too? I love that movie!" (duh)

Pieces is an odd movie. Who decides what gets made on DVD and what doesn't?

I think I might want to give it a try. Yes.

I'd go to Hartford to get you. Or Providence. Or Logan. With enough advance warning.

Dude, I was totally thinking members of my family. I wouldn't want to subject anyone to fetching me in Hartford to take a fly-by-night shortyshort trip east for a wedding.

It's sweet of you, though. I should look into rental cars.

I noticed that today too.. although I fly into Logan tomorrow anyhow..

Can you tell the Lara that my dad might be interested in her Escort? I replied to her email then realized she'd probably packed her computer in the truck....

Oh yeah, absolutely, I will totally tell Lara. She's supposed to come over later today, I will have her email you from here or something.

Really? So why did you pick Pieces, arguably one of the worst B-rate slasher films of the 80s, to be made on DVD? And why was the sound track slightly off from the film track?

You know that one scene, where the guy did that thing? That's why. And as for the audio track being off, that's how the director wanted it...he said something about putting the viewer slightly off balance.

The director assures me, it will be better when he digitally remasters it. He plans to replace all the knives with walkytalkies.

I thought it was one of the better southpark eps in a long time. It pretty much sums up how I felt about return of the jedi (which is the last "remastered" film I've agreed to watch). To me, it's in the same vein of "tear down the leaning tower of piza and rebuild it straight."
