Today was a productive day. In no particular order, I cleaned the cat boxes, arranged a job interview, did the dishes, took out the garbage, went to the bank, took care of Steve's cats, went to the post office, balanced the checkbook, paid some bills, put new pictures in one of my collage-type picture frames (including pictures of [livejournal.com profile] siercia, [livejournal.com profile] gala, [livejournal.com profile] prunesnprisms, [livejournal.com profile] kieron, [livejournal.com profile] rizzo41, [livejournal.com profile] soulcatcher73, [livejournal.com profile] sandnor, [livejournal.com profile] hopemcg, [livejournal.com profile] jonathanboland, [livejournal.com profile] qaphsiel, [livejournal.com profile] jost, and [livejournal.com profile] scirocco, among others), put a picture of [livejournal.com profile] lorac and her William in a frame, hung pictures, watered plants, went to kickboxing, made dinner (I cooked!) and watched Run Lola Run (which I stole from Steve) with Ryan, and called Adrienne. I'm supposed to be sleeping right now. I'm on my way. Honest!

I have that job interview tomorrow and I'm nervous. It's been a long time since I've had a job that was outside the realm of political activism. I don't look very professional, and I don't have the first clue what to wear. Bleh bleh bleh. I'm this (][) close to emailing my former coworker Chad (who is now the Director of HR at CATF) and sucking up for a job. I hate this. I hate being judged by appearance. Oh well, they either like me or they don't. I may not like them.

Kickboxing rocked my pants today. There were only three of us: Deanna the almost-black belt, Roberta the new girl, and this new guy who wants to do kickboxing since he already has a black belt in TKD. She worked us /hard/. We did lots and lots of punching and ducking (squats central!) and then did a whole bunch of burning legwork at the end of class. Mmm. I am obsessed with the combination jab, punch, twist kick, roundhouse, jumping roundhouse, jab, punch. Yes.

p.s. [livejournal.com profile] columbus got its 100th member today. Woot woot!

It's rather funny. The short answer is yes.

Most of the people I hang out with here on a regular basis have LJs (that's how I met most of them). Most of the people I've known for years and years have all been Internet-savvy geeks, and while in college I did all my chatting with them on the Internet, I've since conned them all into getting LJs so I can keep tabs on them.

I am such a trend setter. YOU WILL BE MINE!

Before I moved, I conned a few people into LJ: [livejournal.com profile] redthread, of course, and [livejournal.com profile] mysticalone, and [livejournal.com profile] bettinaland. Since I've moved, I think my only convert has been [livejournal.com profile] dolphingirl99. . .but she was influenced by others as well. I'm going to have to nag some of my Ph.D candidate friends to sign up before I leave them next year, so I can keep up on their lives.

You need to know more Internet geeks, I think. That helps. It makes them more likely to say yes.
