One is silver, and the other gold.
Jul. 20th, 2002 10:22 pmYou know, it's really really nice getting to know
pattisimmons. I had dinner with the Simmonses(eseses) at Pizza House, and then I had a homemade brownie (yay!). I also got to see photos of
scottsimmons's boobs. SKORE! I [heart] Patti.

I can only have these conversations with Jodie:
Jude: The tower. Rapunzel!
Jode: The answer of course is onions
Jude: I hate that Bob Barker.
Jode: YOUR GONNA DIE, CLOWN!
Jude: He wasn't a very good illusionist.
(It's funnier if you share our brain, I swear. You know what you are? You're a bunch of ar-ar-ar-ar-ar-ar-art fags!)

I imagine that someday I will be a parent. Whether I have a coparent or not, I imagine birthday parties, first days of school, milestone after milestone. I wonder if when this happens I will still take paper pictures. I wonder if I will make scrapbooks and journals and home movies. I wonder if I will be one of "those" parents who pulls out pictures of the kids in line at the grocery store.
I imagine the day that I settle down with someone, if that day comes. I imagine the satisfaction I will feel when my parents can use the word "partner." I imagine the excitement of juggling schedules.
Of course, then I remember that I was terrible at that whole "settling down" thing. I flunked Long Term Relationship 101. Oops.
At least I know I can still be a damned good parent. :)
