judecorpOne of my big pet peeves is when a director sticks a love scene in the middle of a perfectly good action movie or drama. It's like everything going on is either POWPOWPOW or cerebral, and then BAM! There's a guy and a girl having sex. I never really understood the point of love scenes, unless it was a romance movie or whatever, and even then, I usually got squirmy.
I realized last night while watching High Art at Mel's (it had been a while, and I don't think she'd ever seen it) that girl-girl love scenes give me this weird squishy feeling under my stomach. It doesn't seem out of place. I don't get squirmy.
Is that what girl-guy love scenes are like for other people?
