It was actually much more purple than the photo (and scan) show. I still have the dress in a closet in my dad's basement. I'll show it to you next time we're in town. :)

Everyone loves the Dead Milkmen. The singer/guitarist (Joe) used to write me letters when I was in college. He was a sweetheart. I met them the day of that photo and kept in touch with them for several years.
