Me too. I have a postcard, a very cool one I might add. AND NO POSTCARD STAMPS.

Blah. Then again I also have a $300 check to go into the bank too, so it's not just errands for other people that I haven't been able to do :(

Still I think I should be able to get postcard stamps tomorrow, at the muuuuuuseum.

I had fun fun fun writing my first letter (working on a second, it gives me a reason to take longer unpacking *g*)! Haven't heard if it's arrived yet but I mailed it just before leaving CO. Now I'm acquiring cute postcards because I can and I'll use any excuse to go to City Girls Vintage.

My assigned writer has IMed me a few times and I think just got her letter out... I'm looking forward to it.

So far, I'm having fun. I realize I'm pretty cheesy and drop odd bits of errata into letters, but this is way better fun than the last time I tried something similar. (That was a card exchange and Secret Santa bit on a mailing list for military spouses. The card exchange went well but I never heard a peep from whoever got assigned to me for the gift-y bit. I had fun buying for mine... I sent her a little glittery thing each week leading up to the gift exchange, and then beglittered an envelope containing a gift certificate for her gift. And my mom thinks I'm a glue-sniffer.)

I love it! Though, I was a bad penpal, and have only sent my first letter to the lovely woman who wrote me 1st this week...I will now do better! 2nd letter to my other penpal mailed at the same time...

But, I take the evil math test this weekend (national teacher exam), then life gets a bit easier...I hope! :-)

I haven't gotten a letter from the person I was assigned to yet.

I sent out one to my person, received one, and sent out another, and have been waiting for a response for awhile. (My letter = lost in the mail or something? Maybe the mailperson saw the awesome stationary and snatched it! Or, you know, ze hasn't written back yet. Whichever.)
