did that to one of my cats once. We were cooking at speed me and an old roomie. Cat wandered in once.

So we're cooking and suddenly he says "Do you hear a cat?" "Muffled though..." "where the hell is the... aw no" "ACK!"

Yeah, Grendel's fine. All of a sudden we were hearing these muted mews, and I went looking. They /seemed/ to be coming from the kitchen. Jen was like, "Do you think she's behind the fridge?" and there's no way that could happen, so I opened the fridge door.

yah, these kittys love to climb into the fridge for some reason. i'm always having to pull them out before i shut the door. she did it when she was here, too. i guess i shoulda warned you guys. hahahaha

Puck always tried to hop into the fridge, but our two now don't do that. The new kitty does try to escape a lot though. But she gets halfway down the stairs and then starts meowing for someone to come find her. Silly cat!

My Ralph sometimes likes to stick around the fridge, but she always backs out when I start shutting the door... I guess this kitty didn't!

Heh, my cats haven't tried to go into the fridge, but they go into cupboards all the time. Sweetie got locked in Quincy's crate overnight once... with Quincy inside. Considering how much the cats hate Quincy I don't know how she survived. :-)

my kitty climbs in the dryer when i've got it open... doesn't matter what I'm doing, folding clothes or putting wet ones in there...I shut her in there once (oops) i'm afraid one of these days I'll do and turn the dryer on... so every time I turn it on i have to check first... lol

Once when I was a kid, I was empying the lint chute in the dryer and I had my hamster on top of the dryer while I was doing it. I heard this sliding sound when I went to throw the lint away - Joaquim had sliiiiiiiid down the chute and my dad had to open the back of the dryer to get him out!
