Either my days are wearing me out, or something is wrong with me. Or maybe I can blame it on winter - I don't like winter, so it's an easy scapegoat. But tonight I fell asleep for a little while, and even though it was only about 30 minutes, that bothered me. It was 9:45pm! What is wrong with me?
I'm not used to having a job with very little downtime. The last time I was this busy in a work setting was when I was at summer camp, and well, that was wonderful warm weather in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains, and I was meeting all new people. I'm still meeting new people, but in the cold, frozen, dark midwest. Oy.
I did manage to work all day, order chinese take-out and watch The Royal Tenenbaums with a girl, fall asleep, get up, clean cat boxes, sweep floors, and do dishes. So I guess I'm ahead of the game. But damn, I'll be ecstatic when I can leave work with a little daylight and some comfy temps ahead of me. And then I can buy a bicycle and ride all over the place. Wheeee!
On the agenda for tomorrow before work: take out garbage, decide what to cook for Date Night dinner, go grocery shopping, get gas, go to the post office. Foo. I'll be dead before I even get to work.
Okay, there is this totally cute girl laying in my bed reading right now, and I'd be a big dumbass if I stayed here in the living room. Ta!
I will say something with substance sometime, honest.

Date: 2003-01-15 12:23 pm (UTC)I don't think I'll ever be a winter person...water and sunshine are me, not snow and bundling up.
I think I'll start tanning this week, once my skin is all the way better.

Date: 2003-01-15 03:31 pm (UTC)But I'm much more reserved about these things than you, it's true. Heck, I convince a girl to move out here for me and I still take a month before I call her my girlfriend. But I'm the Big Lesbian Exception, I suppose.
