Get dressed up, get messed up.
Jan. 16th, 2003 12:43 pmI am a crazy working fool. Welcome to my lunch break. Since the minute I got in this morning, I have either been making phone calls on behalf of clients or meeting with clients. Or shouting the names of clients who weren't in the room. Since I had some time this morning, I set it aside as "Make Phone Calls Time" and that worked pretty well. I have two clients who are currently very taxing on the nerves, time, and social services - so I think I spent an hour making calls for two people! But that's done.
I feel better about my activism today. I think Jennifer and I have pretty much decided to go to Pittsburgh next weekend, and I'm excited about that. (We may take you up on your offer,
lorimelton!) And I emailed GLBTSS at OSU to offer my services for the Big Gay Conference. I had been meaning to call or email someone for quite some time, and now I did, thanks to a little reminder from
grrlpower. It will feel really good to be doing something in the LGBT community aside from hanging out in the bars. That reminds me, I need to email Bucky to start volunteering at KYC again, maybe the first Tuesday of the month, if that's open.
There's $138 airfare to Newark this weekend. I could just take off and go to the City. But I should probably wait until I come into my little windfall in February. Then again, I keep putting off this trip. I meant to go in December. BUT I AM FROZEN IN PLACE IN THIS WEATHER! That's it, I will blame the cold. Bwahaha!
I had client face time for 6 out of a possible 8 hours yesterday. And three of them just wouldn't stop talking. Today has been much more low-key, thanks to the telephone, and much letter-writing. Yayness.
