I just spent about 20 minutes nuzzling my kitties, and cooing into their ears, "You're so lazy. Why don't you get jobs?"

Damn cats. They just went right back to sleep.

I can do that! Can I be one of your cats?

Are you going to sleep at the foot of the bed?

*shrug* okie.

Oh I know..what's up with that??? Mine are the same way. Won't change their litter, won't take out the trash. All they do is leave fur all over the place and try and get me to fuck them. Poor Amara. Your cats and my cats are obviously talking while we're not home.

Oh, there is a definite conspiracy going on. Mine won't clean the poop boxes, either. You would think they would be motivated to do so, since they're the ones who poop in the things, but noooooo.

Right now they're both totally cozy on the couch under the heating duct. (With this weather we've been having, I fear my gas bill.)

From: [identity profile] doulamel.livejournal.com
Yeah you would think so, since cats are such clean freaks about themselves. *sigh* Maybe we need to send them to obedience school or something. Between my 3, your 2 and Jennifer's 1, we could get a good discount. ;)

Oooh yes I don't envy you for that. I've got electric heat in this new place. Although I have to keep my thermostat at almost 80 to keep it a good temperature in there, the past few weeks. *sigh*

I usually keep it cold in here, and use blankets.

Ya know if I just moved my damn computer upstairs, I'd be fine. There's a 15 degree difference between the 2 floors. I could turn the thermostat down to 70 I bet and still be ok if I stayed upstairs. Hmmm. More argument for a laptop maybe. ;)

Yours don't clean? Well Ralph I can understand... She's far too much of a girl to actually do anything but be cute and knock quarters off of windowsills.

Mine bats the poo from the scoop dealie when I clean her litterbox. Isn't that helping, at least? Now if only I could teach her to aim.

Ralph is not a girly girl. I think she was just playing up that act for you because she wanted you to love all over her. Ralph is very devious. And I think she's got a crush on you, because you wear skirts. (Ralph likes to sit hammock-style, on blankets or skirts between legs.)

Ralph IS very devious. I have the scars to prove it.

Ha. That is the only skirt I own! Well, that I wear.

Good luck with Ralphie sitting on them very often. And you really shouldn't lie, it's actually you that likes to sit hammock style between legs of girls, isn't it?

I know! I was just telling Comrade Chekhov to start pulling some weight around the house. He stuck his body under the front door as if to save us money on heat by insulating the house!

Yesterday, Daedalus attempted to help out around the house by rolling around on the kitchen floor. Perhaps he was trying to clean off the tracked-in mud?

HA!

He would not like that AT ALL.

(He's thinking of breaking up with you for saying that.)

i keep trying to send millie hints by making her watch k-9 to five and dogs with jobs, but she doesn't seem to be taking the hint. the cats, i think, are hopeless.

Those cats are mice catchers....and since you don't have mice (thankgod) tehre really isn't anything else for them to do aside from snugglesleepeatpoopplayscratchpurrpurrpurr-ing.

I'm worried because Alexi seems to have developed an addiction to speed, or some sort of uppers, perhaps crank- she's often seen bolting across the room, only to stop, lick her leg for a second, then bolt back the way she came, and just as often this involves jumping over my half-wall and La-Z-Boy!

Dmytri, on the other hand, is either her pusher or has a 'lude habit, because he's as laid back as they come.

Cats are insane creatures. I've never seen anything like it. Right now, they are both zonked - neither Daedalus nor Ralph has moved in at least 2 hours. And then Mr. Big Fatty (that would be D) decides he Must. Have. Cat. Food. Now. And then sleep on my coat.

Cats!

Yeah!

What is it about our clothes that makes cats just want nothing more than to sleep on them?

And only right when you have to put on that piece of clothing. Or when the piece of clothing is black or dark blue.

Try having a black velvet-y coat in a house with multiple cats. I didn't wear my coat all last year because my (light brown) cat had fouled it with fur so badly. When I finally took it to the dry cleaners, the lady was afraid of it.

Uck.

It's a common livejournal occurance that the shorter and more random a post, the more comments it will generate.

When I write a big long thing with a lot of substance, no one touches it. :)
