Another Year, Another Victory

(So I consider this Superbowl Season a total success - homemade chocolate chip cookies /and/ I got a self-proclaimed "I don't watch sports" girl to not only watch, but cheer.)
My friend Guy and I have this long-standing Superbowl bet. It started as his attempt to get me to watch football, arguably his favorite thing in the whole entire universe. So about five years ago, he and I started betting on the game. We take turns picking which team we're going to root for, and then there is much mockery. The winner gets to call the loser "Ratbutt" for an entire year.
I have been victorious four out of five years. And I started calling him "Ratbutt" at the half. Neener!
YAY BUCS! ARRRRRRR!
But the commercials were totally sucky this year.

Re: Commercials
Date: 2003-01-26 08:05 pm (UTC)Also, we found the Monster.com commercial (runaway truck) way cool.
What I found disturbing was, everyone laughed when I explained what the commercial with the buffalo was all about. They didn't actually understand commercials enough to see the strategy for themselves, and my friends are pretty smart guys.
Come to think of it, what about the Matrix and T3 commercials?
Hot Chicks in Pleather and Robots with lasers don't appeal to you?
Re: Commercials
Date: 2003-01-27 06:00 am (UTC)I /did/ like the zebra ad and the runaway truck ad. And yes, of /course/ the Matrix ad was yummy. But I wasn't into the T3 ad (I still haven't seen T1 or T2), and I was totally turned off by those anti-drug ads. Phooey.
I was totally pissed at the upside down guy drinking out of his butthole ad.

Date: 2003-01-27 07:40 am (UTC)Although I was rather fond of the first Ozzy Osbourne commercial, where he had the dream that his kids turned into the Osmond's. Hehehe.
