Today = Much Better
Feb. 12th, 2003 07:35 pmWoke up with girl on bed, not on couch. Hit snooze and snuggled for four minutes. Got ready for work. Got to work. First appointment wasn't there. Coworker Andrea was. Residents not in crazy snowing pounding on tables and shouting moods. Goodbye lunch at Slammers for Coworker Jenise. Had desserty brownies and M&Ms. Took coveted HORSEY LAMP from her office and brought it to mine. Had last open hours at 6th. One person showed up. Spent the time talking with the RAs and Security Guards, who threatened my life if I do not visit. Went back to 8th. Had Case Review, where I laughed a lot, learned about brands of makeup, and laughed some more. Started setting up schedule for full time position at 8th, which starts TOMORROW. No more travelling back and forth. Had two evening clients. They went well. Laughed more. Left on time. Drove home. Read LJ. Checked email. Squirted ointment in cat's eye. Did dishes. Cleaned cat boxes. Took out trash. Getting ready to take a girl to dinner.
Sorry about yesterday, it was an abomination. Life is beautiful.

Date: 2003-02-12 05:32 pm (UTC)And it's okay to have had a poopy day. You should have seen the poopy I was cleaning up at 2 this morning -- I have no idea how it just got on her hands, feet and sheet, but I went down the hall to investigate because it suddenly reeked of poop (Laurel had gone down to bed some time before) and wow! A very smelly surprise. Luckily Robert was willing to do most of the poo-clearing so I did a kamikaze cleaning of the bedroom and changed her sheet.

Date: 2003-02-12 06:30 pm (UTC)When I first started working at both shelters, I was going to share an office with Coworker Jenise. She is super cool and has the same birfday as me! Anyway, we are always teasing each other that the other is really mean. We used to write goofy emails to each other. (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=smurfchick&itemid=270832) She has all of this weird office furniture that she's accumulated in her 2.5 years whenever someone would leave an office. She has a gorgeous old wooden desk, a big (icky) leather chair, and she has this totally tacky lamp that is a horse head. I always used to tease her about her horsey lamp, so when she announced she was leaving, I told her I was taking it with me. This was easy since I have a key to her office from when we were supposed to share. :)
Anyway, I took it back today. Maybe I'll take pictures of my office sometime.
Ick about the poop. That's craziness.
your good day
