A little lip, a little teeth...

judecorpThis "no oral contact" thing is /hard/. Really effing hard. Not because I'm some kind of raging smooch maniac (oh, who am I kidding, I am, I am!!), but because it's just so natural, so automatic.
I walk in the door, we kiss hello. I roll over in bed, we kiss. We kiss good morning. We kiss good night. We kiss for no reason. I nibble earlobes, nip neck skin, kiss the small of her back, etc., ad nauseum. I suppose I could still nibble earlobes, but in the interest of quick healing, I've been trying to avoid my lower lip altogether. It's hard!
Try to drink soda out of a bottle. Or something out of a cup. HA! JOKE'S ON ME! :)
I'm blessed with a lack of pain on this thing. It only stings when I'm cleaning it, and then only when I'm moving it up and down. Otherwise it seems perfectly contect to sit there snugly, with the little puffy part around it. (Must. Ice. Lip.) But the kissing thing? Agony. How many times in the past 24 hours has it almost just happened? I walk in the door, we come together, and then *wham* at the last second, one or the other of us remembers and moves away. Thwarted. Bummer.

Date: 2003-03-03 05:52 pm (UTC)So, as for pain... hrm. It certainly didn't hurt near as much as the nipple. The pain itself actually wasn't terrible, more of a sharp pinching... it just took what seemed like forever. The grossest thing was feeling him actually tugging that needle through - I guess lip skin is tougher than I thought!
It /was/ fairly painful. I have a really high pain tolerance, though. But once the needle went through and it was done, there's been no pain.

Since the beginning of the current Bush administration, I've had one with "Don't blame me, I voted for Nader."
Maybe I should stick another one next to it reading "Don't blame me, I voted for the hood." No one who has not read your LJ would have any idea what the fuck it meant.
