Date Night with
Ryan tonight was Ted's Montana Grill. (Meaty!) In order to get him to pick a place, I paid. (Both of us hate picking.) I am so full right now it's not even funny. And our server was a total dickweed who didn't want to serve us. Ugh! But it was the first time in a long time I hung out with just Ryan. It was nice. 13 months!
Today was such a craptastical day at work. I wasn't feeling great when I got up (just generally tired and lethargic, and I've had headaches of varying degrees of pain every night this week due to allergies and stuff), and I debated calling in since part of what I was going to do today (I was going to go on a ride-along with Take It To The Streets) got cancelled. But I had an appointment at 3:30 for a guy who I'd rescheduled twice, and had since sent a letter saying if he didn't go to the appointment today, he would lose his bed. So I felt that if I didn't show up, that would be bad.
Anyway, none of my appointments showed up today. At all. None of them. Two of them told me in advance that they weren't showing up. And my 3:30 guy? Nope. Nothing. At 4:00, when my 4:30 called me to tell me he wasn't going, I called my supervisor and told her I wasn't feeling well and I was going home. And I had to write TWO incident reports today (I've probably written two others in my whole time here) - one for a guy who was yelling at me and said he was calling Administration (go ahead, dude), and one for a guy who isn't a resident but who got into the dorms and was sleeping in a bed in the middle of the day. And then /that/ guy got mad and threw something at another staff member, so we had to call the police. Fun times. Definitely one for going home. I left at 4.
I came and sat in my house for an hour or so just cooling off and taking some advil, and then I went for a little bike ride on the part of the bike path heading downtown that goes along 315. It's pretty hilly, and I'm out of shape with bad knees, so I got tired. I went to Jen's to wait for her to come home, and stayed with her until Date Night. I need new knees. Bleh. But it was a good end to a bad day. I hope tomorrow is better. Please!
