Yet another slothful weekend - in bed until after noon. Though today we lost an hour, so that almost excuses it. It's just that once I wake up, and she wakes up, I don't want to jump out of bed! Oops. We had planned to try to go away somewhere and geocache this weekend, and I'm glad we didn't because it was freeeeeezing outside. How can it be 80 degrees on Thursday and 32 yesterday? Riddle me that!

Last night, Jennifer and I went to see Max. I both liked and disliked the film. I liked the idea of the film, and I liked the energy of the film, and I liked Noah Taylor. And it had John Cusack in it, and I /love/ him, but this was certainly not his best film. He didn't seem right for it. Aah well. The good thing about the movie is that it encouraged my favorite artist to start painting again. *insert big grin here* I did a little writing, too, which is always good for keeping the brain young. I read back through my paper journal. There's stuff in there from as early as 1991. And it's /bad/.

I also, in the course of the weekend, found three caches (one with prettyvacantoneBrandie and two with kieronJennifer):

I also watched Secretary with laughingsalMissy Goodtimes and crushinatorBartley. I thought it was okay, but not as hot as I expected. I mean, yes, Maggie Gyllenhaal gets naked (YOWZA!) and that is good++. But it involved lots of spanking, which is bad++. So it balanced out, and was okay.

I also got the Daughter of the Week award by speaking to both my mother /and/ my father on the telephone today. My mom's really come a long way. For about a year, she couldn't even say the word 'Jen.' Now she asks about her before I mention her, wants to know how she's doing, even wants to say hello. My dad's always been really laid back about everything, but Mom... not so much. I'm really glad that's all working out. This evening, I found myself saying, out loud, "I think we should look for a place that's a good amount less than we're each paying right now, so we can put the difference in a savings account that we can use when we move to California." Yikes.

Spanking = bad?

I don't understand.

Hitting freaks me out. Especially in a sexual context. Not for other people, if that's their thing, but for me. I don't understand, for the life of me, how someone degrading or hitting me could be even remotely pleasurable. But like I said, to each his/her own.

Bad memories, I guess.

But what did SHE say?

I do believe that's the part where she blushed, put her arms around me, and said, "We?"

Awww, lookit Jude, all tendah inside. That's damn nice.

I am sure it's frightening to think of a committed future together because it's a big change. But change is what keeps a person alive. (and this is from someone who hides under her bed and whimpers in the face of change, so I know whereof I speak. I just moved to freakin' NJ to be with the one I lerf, and aside from some moments of wanting to remain fetal in a corner, I think it's gone pretty damn good.)

Love and Bassets to you! :)

Yes, it is a big change, and a big step, and I vascillate from being totally /for/ it to being totally terrified of it. Maybe I would think differently if I hadn't done it once before and effed it all up. Maybe not. All I know is that I'm really trying to do this one right, and that's a neat feeling.

I don't like NJ. Ptoooey! (But then again, I think that's because I used to live in NY, and hatred of NJ is, like, required.)

I'm sorry you weren't as enthused about Secretary as the rest of us S&M freaks were. :) I found the movie highly inspiring haha.
