I was showered and dressed to go to work. All I needed to do was put on shoes. Then kieronJennifer called and scolded me for a while. So now I have my jammies on again. And bad hair. So I called my supervisor. Whether I'm really sick or not, whenever I call a boss I feel like I'm doing something wrong. What is wrong with me?

I feel pretty good until I start talking. When I start talking, I start coughing. Hacking. Like a pack-a-day smoker. Gross.

Heh

Its call a strong work ethic.

Its not a bad thing, although it does make one feel bad when we do have to do things like that.

scolded?

Hmm...maybe affectionate scolding...;)

You need to talk in your job. When you talk to hack and hack and hurt. You made the right choice. I am only looking out for you....

You don't stay home unless you are sick. You are rarely sick so you rarely stay home. You do have a strong work ethic and you will probably always feel like it's something wrong when you need to take time off for your health, even when it isn't wrong...

I love you and I will come and see you around 1:20ish.

I know /exactly/ what you mean. I always feel the same way.

It doesn't stop me, mind. I have 10 sick days a year and if I dont' use 'em, I lose 'em. ;)

We accumulate hours... I think it averages out to like 6-7 hours/month. I have something like 54 hours right now.

So I think ours just builds and builds and builds, ad infinitum. Who knows. I will have a ton by the time I leave this job, unless I get /really/ sick someday. *knock wood*

I have bronchitis myself. You think it's bad having to call off one job? I had to call off two jobs first thing this morning:( Anyway, I hope you feel better soon! Being sick sucks *cough, cough, COUGH, choke..., cough, cough*

My boss had bronchitis. Yuck! I've never had that, not that I know of.

But it sucks being sick! I hope you feel better!

Yes, I'm on my 4th or 5th week of being sick... I never took time off for myself initially to get well, and I seem to have NO immune system. Every little thing wipes me out, and I work 7 days a week, so it's a very bad combination. I hope you feel better soon.

I hope you feel better soon, too! 4-5 weeks? UGH!

I'm the same way. I feel like if I call in sick, I am doing something terribly, horribly wrong; even if I have a fever of 102 and ache all over. Bleh, it sucks being conscientious sometimes.

I wonder if everyone feels this way, or just some of us hardworking schmucks?

I think it's those of us who are hard-working schmucks, who had a strong work-ethic instilled in us by our parents. I could be wrong, though.
