(And I'd do it again.)
Still sick. I managed to fall asleep last night around 11pm (thank goodness) and woke up at 5am with a sore throat and an entirely blocked set of sinuses, complete with pounding head that seems to go WAHWAHWAHWAH every time you move. I was out of other medicine, so I took some ibuprofen hoping it would chill the head.
Around 6:30am, my wonderful Jennifer found one dose of DayQuil in the bottom of her backpack. I can't believe the difference. Aside from the fact that DayQuil turns me into The Human Sweating Menace, it's good stuff. I'm not one to take medication, but I have to say that at least today, I am a slave to DayQuil. I even went to buy more. I feel like a completely different person than I did at 5. Thankfully.
The only thing that sucks is that I have lost my voice /entirely/. Work shall be interesting.

Last night, there was a gross looking bug spazzing out on my bedroom floor. (I think the cats had gotten to it.) It was nas-tay! I don't /think/ it was a cockroach, but I don't know if I've ever seen a cockroach except in Georgia, so I'm not sure. It looks like some other bugs I've seen in my bedroom, but if they were roaches, wouldn't they be in the kitchen with the food? Ew. Jen was all, "When your lease is up, you're moving."
I suppose now's as good a time as any to spill the beans: We're moving in together.

Date: 2003-05-22 06:46 am (UTC)Hey - where are you in NJ? We'll be in NJ for part of the weekend. The Girl wants to visit her childhood home before it's sold to someone else.
Re: Woo hoo!
Date: 2003-05-22 06:55 am (UTC)I live in Central NJ, in Spring Lake. However, I will be in the Poconos with my beloved's insane Staten Island clan, in the woods, playing Tabu (sp?) and going to Wal-Mart. Waah. I think it'd be a hoot to meet you and your Jennifer.
I feel for her...it must be hard, saying goodbye to a house you grew up in. It's really good you're going with her-- so if she gets all melancholy about the past, your presence can remind her that she's got a festive future ahead.

Date: 2003-05-22 11:25 am (UTC)But I will be there with the support and the Lerf! (And hopefully a voice.)

Date: 2003-05-22 07:15 am (UTC)I have never seen a roach like that....but the roaches in Puerto Rico were different enough to the roaches in San Francisco to make me believe that the mid west has it's own breed.
*shudder*
Gah...even now I am all freaked.....
Our new place will have NO BUGS!;)
It was very nice to see you "spill the beans" by the way....

Date: 2003-05-22 07:50 am (UTC)of course we do. like everyone else in the midwest, our roaches enjoy a lower cost of living, run a higher risk of obesity, and ride around in SUVs with nascar numbers in the rear windows.

Date: 2003-05-22 07:09 pm (UTC)Not neccessarily. Which is annoying. The only time I have seen a roach in my kitchen it was crawling across my CLEAN dishes. All my cabinet food is incased in plastic, so there's no food for them to get at. I have seen TWO (though the sightings were months apart) on my computer desk where there is no food, plastic encased or otherwise. Well, there is currently a fortune cookie, but I don't really think that constitutes food...
