I don't think Jen and I are destined to have parking passes. First I couldn't leave my driveway because some chickie from down the street parked me in. (The only apartment that's supposed to have access to the driveway is ours.) Finally, she leaves (after getting rather snippy with me about how she was told the whole street could use this one driveway), and I drive downtown to City Hall to discover... oh, yes, every single meter is covered because it's afternoon and it's time for Red, White, and Boom. So there will be no parking pass today, that's for damned sure. I wish I'd banked on that before I left the house.

I think I need to blow some money on a haircut. Since I have to go up to Clintonville to bring stuff to the goodwill box, I might as well stop on the way. Yeah. There's some rationalization for ya. I was trying to con Sarah into buzzing my head last night, but she wussed her way out of it. Then I was trying to shave [livejournal.com profile] whirledpeas's head. They are so cool. Banns.

Anyway, I'm going to stop whining now and call Studio Posh. And then unpack some more. At least I finally found the scanner. And fixed the bathroom stand. And whined a lot.

Oh! Due to a comedy of errors, I now have /two/ 'The Binary Gender System Sucks' tshirts. What should I do with the extra?

I think I would feel guilty if I sold it, because I didn't pay for it.

ooooooh, gotcha. I was thinking you bought two.

No, I bought one, and I never got it. So I called and they overnighted me one. And then I got the one that they sent first, but someone had taken it from my old place, put my new address on it, and dropped it in the mail. But I didn't get the overnighted one. So I wore the original. And then I picked up the overnighted one at UPS yesterday.

Confused yet? :)

ahhh, gotcha. well in that case, cafepress showed excellent customer service and I might consider returning it to them. Or at least calling to say you received both and asking how it should be returned and hope they say "keep it" :)

after getting rather snippy with me about how she was told the whole street could use this one driveway

I would retort with something to effect of "Well... you were told wrong" then place one hand on my hip, rock my hip to the side and do that neck-wiggle-thing while staring her down. Should she try to respond, I would hold my other hand up, palm toward her face, while I look away from her, up and off to the side, preferably at the "Private Parking, Violators Will Be Towed" sign that is probably bolted to the side of your building above the driveway.

Barring that scenario, my second option would be to park the cars so they are not pulled all the way forward in the driveway, preventing other people the possibility of even thinking about pulling in.

That's what we usually do... but Jen was behind me and then she went to work.

My friend [livejournal.com profile] feckless would love it.

But I may have missed...where did you find it?
I mean, besides Cafe Press.

A) Even if the whole town could use the one driveway, does it also give her right to block other cars in?

B) Who the f is Alix Olson? Did she work at the Mercantile?

A) She is a dumbass

B) She's a slam poet, and she is HOT. Perhaps she's a descendent of Nellie and Percival.

You make me laugh SO HARD.

The shirt wouldn't fit Jen, though. Bummer. We'll have to buy matching golf shirts or something. ;)

I would so buzz your head.

Himself is supposed to have meets-military-regs hair, but he's such a weenie about the "inconvenience" of having me cut his hair (ha, it takes about five minutes) I only get to cut his hair about once a month. It makes me want to buzz my hair off again, but I want to luxuriate in having girly hair for awhile more. It keeps my neck warm back in Colorado.

My hair is cut pretty darned short, but I've never buzzed it the same length all the way around. I toy with the idea ALL THE TIME, but never seem to do it.

Hrm.
