I'm not that innocent!
Jul. 7th, 2003 10:20 amOkay, so it's not bad enough that I have an Olsen twins calendar, but I was practically drooling at their cameo in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. But I admit it, now, in public: Jennifer has been right all along - Demi Moore is HOT. Especially now that she's not just a jutting pair of huge boobs on legs anymore. (Heck, I called her "Demi Boobs" for years.) However, I would lick a toilet if it meant I could spend some time admiring Lucy Liu's freckles up close and personal. Anyway, in honor of my dirtyteenlust, I figured I'd put on a little Britney. Mmmmm, Britney. Yum.
(You know, if I keep confessing this stuff, I'm going to get dumped! *wink*)
I'm a productive little nugget this morning, still in my pajamas. However, I have a lot more things set up for the new job. I've filled out all the benefits forms. I've managed to find my birth certificate and social security card. I called my insurance company because I needed a higher level of "uninsured motorist" coverage (and it's only $13 more per 6 months, yay!). I left a message for the HR lady (she comes back tomorrow) about the fingerprints snafu.
I heard back from the coordinator at my youth group and it seems like everything is cool, especially since I haven't been an active volunteer for a while. It could be a little weird if I start volunteering regularly again (which I plan to do, actually, since I'll be working 9-5 again), but he said we could talk about it and work it out. I feel better now.
This is especially cool because Jennifer has begun talking about volunteering there, too. She would like to try to organize an art class at the center, and I think that would be so amazing because she is dying to teach, and she is amazing. (I'm biased, but TOUGH LUCK!) It would be really nice to be active in something together. When I was with A. I was always trying to con him into doing some activity with me (not the queer youth group, but something he liked better) and it never happened. I'm touched that she wants to do this.
The party on Saturday just reinforced how much I love our home. It's cozy and fun, and the living room is so airy and comfortable. We got some coasters yesterday (they were sorely missed at the party), and a little mobile, and a wine/bar rack - I love World Market, even though they didn't have the kind of Moxie I wanted.
Being unemployed with perpetual access to a computer means I will fill your life with worthless posts. Suckaz! Perhaps today I will go to the bank, pay my credit card bill, and sit outside somewhere with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Yeah.
