It's nice to be cared for.

The Fed-Ex person just came to my house. He had presents from kungfoogirl and thespian. They are totally awesome.

Stephanie got me the oddest stationery ever. It has little 'catch phrases' that I imagine are pretty bits of poetry that have become just slightly off-kilter in translation from Japanese. I can't wait to send surreal poetry notes to people. She also gave me this mechanical pencil and a little clip thinger with this cute little creature that, I admit, scares me somewhat because it reminds me of the forest spirits from Princess Mononoke. And those twitchyhead things gave me creepy nightmares. :)

Christina sent me a Playmobil knight in shining armor. And this knight even happened to have a chin-length black bob sticking out from underneath her helmet. I'm afraid to open the box, because it is so perfect.

Thank you, both of you. And C, ignore the rambling message on your voicemail at work. :) I'm afraid I wasn't making much sense.

Christina got the other pen from the set (but you got the packaging). I've been calling him the little bread head guy, because I have no idea what he is except a Sanrio character that they are simply not sharing with us (San-X, which is on the labelling, is Sanrio, but that's all I can make out). As far as I can tell, on the pen, he's starting to bake other bread people, but he's just finished their heads so far.

(well, ok, I'm making that up, but it's a fun story about a really bizarre image)
