  • Shaolin Soccer is one of the worst movies ever.

  • But I had good company.

  • I wish I had gone to my reunion last night.

  • I tried to call them but it was too loud and I couldn't hear anyone.

  • I'm in this weird mood where I don't like what I look like.

  • But I don't know how I want to look.

  • I think it's because I'm going to FamilyVille soon. That always screws with me.

  • Steve, Jen and I went mini golfing last night.

  • Tomorrow I get to see whirledpeasPEAS!!

  • I miss wasted_breathSean Rules and crushinatorBart from Bartleyco.

  • Yellow Springs is really cool - it's a little like Northampton, but smaller, and more Midwestern. Thanks, Hope and Megan!

1. Wait and see it at Carriage Place.
2. :(
3. I didn't see any Young's for ice cream. I was looking for an ice cream place in YS but didn't see one! We looked at overpriced silver jewelry, though.
4. I've never been to Kent.

Oh, but Shaolin Soccer is so bad it's good. The Girl (http://www.livejournal.com/users/grlfriday) and I watched it this weekend, too. (^_^)

Hey, sexy. I got your postcard.

Y'see, that's what Steve said too, but I'm not buying it. It just wasn't my thing. I mean, I knew that going into it, but I thought maybe I could find parts of it that /were/ my thing. But I couldn't. Oh well. :)

And you're welcome!

I hear you

I don't know what I want to look like but I know I'm not doing a great job lookingly like it, since I keep looking to change.

It's crazy. I mean, for some reason these days I even feel uncomfortable in my own skin. Ugh. I crave one day when I look in the mirror and am satisfied. I used to have so many!

Did you get eaten by skeeters in Yellow Springs?

Agreed. A few clever special effects aren't enough to make me overlook the overall ridiculousness (see also, Matrix Reloaded) of the thing. And the "eating the egg out of the other guy's mouth" scene was a bit much (especially as I thought the eater and the fellow with the mouth were brothers). I certainly didn't need to see the whole egg-eating thing twice. Laura pretty much agrees.

That's the only bullet point on which I am qualified to comment, except to say that mini-golf is fun.

What a world, what a world...

I agree about the egg-eating. I mean, first of all, I realize this movie was not made for my culture, and was not meant to fit "American PC," but still. I got tired of "make fun of the fat guy," and I /really/ got tired fast of the "make them look like homos" schtick.

Jen let me know that transvestites are apparently hysterical in Asia. Bleh. I hated that part, too.

The effects weren't even GOOD. I dunno. I can't say enough bad things about it. I guess I was frowning the whole time, because Jen kept apologizing to me. (She picked.)

I am compelled however, to mention that you like Breakin' 2: Electic Boogaloo. ;-)

Well, Breakin' 2 /was/ the first movie I ever saw in a movie theatre without a parent present.

Hehehe.. I know, and I like Tron. I was just pointing out that sometime in the distant future, some girl somewhere is going to be sitting there with her friends when this movie comes on Cable, and she is going to sit and watch it, and remember it fondly. :-)
