I feel so totally disconnected from people lately, probably because I haven't seen too many people since before my vacation. I mean, one of my friends is out of the country and I didn't even know! (How could I have missed that?) And I keep screwing up details - like I think someone is doing something at one time, and then it ends up being a different time. Or I ask someone about her job, and she reminds me that she told me last time that she hasn't worked there in three months.

I'll have to check my inter-office mailbox. I seem to be missing all the memos. Sheesh!

Just a couple of things you might not be aware of:

• That mark on my forehead that I thought might be some sort of melanoma? Seems I was victim of a drive-by tattooing. While I slept, no less. There's been an epidemic of that sort of thing going on, I'm told.
• You've still got my Underage White Boys CD, but you can keep it. I'm so not into them anymore.
• Donna wanted me to tell you she's not going to be able to make it to the thing next Thursday 'cause her Mom is stopping by with pictures of the new dog. Dude, you've been stood up so she can look at Sharpei pictures! How wrong is that?
• You've got something in your teeth... Other side... No, it's still there.
• That stuff I said when I was drunk that time? I meant every word of it. Except the part about the bathwater. I mean, that's just gross.
• It's still there, dude. You'd better go floss, or something, 'cause I'm just going to keep staring at it now.
• You had, like, forty messages on your machine from some guy named "Mike," but he sounded like a complete tool, so I erased them.
• Sarah completely flipped out because Wade is going out with Emily now and she's totally jealous. She keeps telling me that she's moved on and she doesn't even want to see Wade anymore, but I think she's got, like, some sort of shrine to him in her house. Remember all those pictures she took of him last summer when they were at camp? Creepy. Anyway, she's been buying candles and spending a lot of time in the attic and she always looks like she's been crying, and she even called me "Wade" when we were at lunch yesterday.

That's about it, I think.

No, you totally missed it. Dude, you're not going to be able to get it with your tongue! I'm telling you, go floss, or something! Or just keep your mouth shut. That's disgusting.

I'm going to a baseball game on Saturday, I guess. The Lake County Captains have their brand new field about 2.5 miles from the house, and Laura got free tickets through her church. No idea what's going on the rest of the weekend.

Can you tell that I'm not the one doing the majority of the social planning around here? Laura is the Keeper of the Calendar™ and I merely go where I'm told to go.

Perhaps I should try to look at the calendar to see what's happening in the weekends to come. If she'll let me, that is. ;-)
