I was determined to keep myself busy today, and I mostly succeeded. Thank goodness.
I had a business lunch scheduled for today. Representatives from Judecorp, Missy Industries, and Bartleyco. made our way up to the Polaris area for chinese buffet. (Yum!) Missy and I went to Bart's cage and proceeded to do lewd things when his coworkers weren't looking. On the way home, I decided to introduce Missy to geocaching with the Itch Ditch Cache. Since Missy likes urban exploration, I thought she would get a kick out of the area. It is an old drainage ditch that has been taken over by skateboarders and grafitti artists. I got to take some neat pictures of Missy, though.
She hung out for a while, but left to take a nap. I decided to attempt some of the caches in the campus area, so I hopped on my bike and hit the OSU main library to look for the Hot For Teacher Micro placed by
iota and
prettyvacantone. They are rearranging that section of the library, though, and the cache was gone (as far as I could tell). Bollocks! I took a neat picture of downtown Columbus extending from OSU, and then went to look for the next one.
I didn't find that one, either. It was the Alley Cat Blues cache, and I couldn't find it for the life of me, even though I know I was in the right place. People kept coming by and I was feeling self-conscious, so I went to the Campus Confluence Cache instead. At least I found the confluence, and I could head home on a happy (but sweaty) note.
I really need to be in the shower, but instead I'm typing away in my sports bra, sitting in front of a fan. Perhaps I will shower (think of me, woot!), and then upload some of those hotnaked pictures of Missy.
Hey, where do you all go to register your domains? I finally know what I want my domain to be called, and I need to know the best place to do that. Thanks!

Campus Confluence is officially the easiest cache ever. Also, get on your bike and do the German Village virtual tour if you haven't already.

Date: 2003-08-22 04:57 pm (UTC)I had problems with the campus confluence cache just cuz we never did get our GPS to get an exact reading. And when we finally got close enough, my digital camera didn't take a clear enough picture. =( Some guy who lived next door came out and just said "It's the air conditioner." I wonder if he even knows what we geeks are doing! hehe

Date: 2003-08-22 10:34 pm (UTC)I got .001 for the longitude and .000 for the latitude. Not too shabby. I couldn't get a good picture of the GPS, though.
I wonder how many people end up in those people's property... heh.

Date: 2003-08-23 01:14 pm (UTC)This could be the ultimate for you GPS geeks (and for us geographer types who are just geog-geeks by nature, with or without GPS units!), it's called the Degree Confluence Project. I think y'all will get some enjoyment from this! :)
