I don't know if I even want this new job anymore. They are so flaky that it is driving me batty. I sent them email on Monday that basically said something like, "Hi. I just wanted to make sure you got my message last Tuesday, and I was wondering what is going on. I've been unemployed and waiting for this job for two months and I really can't afford to be unemployed much longer." And late yesterday afternoon, I got email back saying, "Oh, sorry, I was out for a few days, but your fingerprint card got sent back to us 2-3 weeks ago because they couldn't read your name, so we had to send it back. We put a rush on it, but it hasn't come back yet." WTF? Is there a reason no one let me know? Color me infuriated.

In other irritating news, TDub at my old job (a bigwig) called and left me voicemail asking me to participate in a hearing scheduled for this morning. Apparently the guy who was fired for sexually harassing me has been receiving unemployment all this time, and my former employer is now appealing his unemployment. Apparently there was a big hearing this morning at 8:45am, and apparently my testimony was vital to this appeal. So he called me yesterday at 3pm, and asked if I could be at some random location at 8:15am. I talked it out with Jennifer, and decided that not only was I not interested in seeing the guy again and rehashing all of that stuff when I don't even work there anymore, but that I was certainly not interested in doing it at 8:15am. So I called him back and told him I would be unable to attend, and gave my regrets. He tried to convince me to go ("Are you /sure/ there's no way you can go? We really need you to be there...") and I let him know firmly that even if I /could/ go, I had no desire to be in a room with that man ever again, and I did not wish to go through that again. He thanked me and quickly got off the phone. Oops.

I had fun at UAN and got chatty with this guy named Bert, who had crazy hair and looked quite a bit like Channon Roe. I got to see Sean, of course, as well as Jenny (jwine) and Richard (octoid), Barty, Cari, and Missy Goodtimes. There were these two other boys there, but not only do I not know their names, they talked about Ultima Online, so I am afraid of them. I owe Cari and Bart beer and food money - and I intend to pay you both back!

After UAN, I rode my bike over to Peas's house to watch Bravo. I practically got a BUI, and couldn't pay attention to anything on the road. Wheeeee! Since "Boy Meets Boy" is no more, we picked up take-out at KFC because Jen was hungry and Peas wanted mashed potatoes. We watched "Queer Eye" and it was hysterical as usual, though the straight guys are getting perpetually scarier. And where was Jai?!??! How sad.

I wrote back to the potential job and thanked her for the update, and let her know I would have appreciated hearing about the problem 2-3 weeks ago so I wouldn't just be sitting here wondering if I'm ever going to get the job. We'll see if she writes back, but in the meantime, I think I'm going to make my job search more serious. Either way, it's unemployment pay day today, and I get to see kat_chan!

Well, I was a huge Ultima fan (the games that came out before the Online thing) and I tried playing the Online thing, but everyone treated me like a lamer, and I got tired of getting killed by people who thought it was fun to kill the noobs. I always hoped it would get better, but it never did. Not that you care, but I am compelled to type all that. ;-)

Jai is my absolute favorite, so I was so sad he was gone. And that Blair guy, he just wasn't working out at all. They didn't have him on camera much, but when they did, it just didn't... work. Jai is the best, and he's so damned adorable.

I didn't know it was a repeat. I guess I hadn't watched from the beginning. But I can't wait to see Jai again next week!
