judecorp1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?
Yes, although (as you can tell) I only use my full first name (Judith) professionally. I have a confirmation name in there, too - I chose "Andrea" after St. Andrew. RAWK. For a short time, I had a second last name, but that's gone now. Whee!
2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?
I don't think I would change a thing. I wouldn't want to change my first/middle even though I don't use them (really, do I look like a "Judith Anne" to you?) because they were a gift from my family and it is important to them (and me). As far as last names, I doubt I would change again... although I've toyed with the idea of making a /new/ last name, and having both my partner and I hyphenate our last names with the new name, and give the children just the new name. I'm weird.
3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)
My family is into initials. My brother is named directly after my father, and both of them have the same initials as my great uncle (RAA). My uncle is named directly after my grandfather, and if I was a boy, I probably would have been also. Instead, I got the initials (JAA). I don't know why the name "Judith" was chosen - I should ask.
True story: my father (who is such a FREAK) wanted to name me "Juanita Anita" (it sounds even MORE heinous if you know my last name, because it sort of rhymes). My mother, who tends not to stick up for herself, thankfully DID. I look even less like a Juanita. Heck, my confirmation name could have been "Chiquita." Juanita Anita Chiquita. My friend Lia in college used to call me "Nita" when she was drunk.
4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?
I don't like a lot of the names that are incredibly popular now. They give me hives. I go back and forth on names I'm partial to. I've always been fond of the names Chase and Chance (though I wouldn't have both, obv), Job and Joseph, Catherine and Elizabeth. I could stick with the intials thing and have a Rhyse Avery or a Ryan Addison (both girls).
5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com accurate? How or how isn't it?
I guess I'd better go look: Your name of Judith has given you a generous nature. You will do your utmost to help others in need, despite inconvenience or even hardship to yourself. You are affectionate, and respond quickly to appreciation. As a child you were expressive. An imaginative, impressionable person, you could excel in the theatre as a dramatist or comedienne, and the enjoyment and appreciation of your audience would be your greatest inspiration. Fine as your nature is at times the power of your feelings is difficult to control as it unleashes itself through outbursts of temper. The name does not engender emotional stability; nor have you the system and order in your thinking always to finish what you start. Scattering of efforts interferes with success in your undertakings.
