But will they like the lip ring?
Sep. 19th, 2003 11:04 amI just accepted my first interview since waiting for the other agency. I've turned down probably 7 or 8 interviews this summer because I was holding out for the other job. While I'm keeping the youth agency as my first priority (though really, if the hiring process is indicative of the function of the organization as a whole, perhaps it shouldn't be), I think taking an interview might be at least marginally good for my self-esteem and current lethargic feelings of uselessness.
Think of me Monday morning at 9:00. Not only am I not thrilled about getting up early, but I have to dress up and be presentable! This job is for hospice/end-of-life care, and I think it could certainly be very challenging (and good for the resume, in that "wow, that must be really difficult" kind of way). I'm hoping that due to the difficulty and the medical-ish setting, it will also be lucrative. There I go being practical all over again.
p.s. Happy Birthday Momma

I don't usually recommend it to my friends as it's a book about a dying man telling everyone that they need to slow down and enjoy life while they have it etc and most of my friends already know that! However, Morrie was a professor who at the end was teaching about dying, knowing that it would become a book. So from that aspect it's pretty mind-blowing.
