I just cleared out a bunch of comments. I feel so liberated now. (If you don't get return comments from me right away, hang on, you'll get them. Really. I'm neurotic like that.) And my inbox is so much lighter!
Tonight, Jennifer and I went to Barcelona for Dine-Out Columbus (participating restaurants give a portion of their proceeds tonight to Project Open Hand Columbus, which provides meals for people living with HIV/AIDS), and we spent a ton of money and ate enough food to cause us to blow up. But it was SO YUMMY. We even had pumpkin creme brulee. I am a sucker for anything pumpkin.
I couldn't stop smiling during the meal because I remembered that Dine-Out Columbus was one of the first things we did together when she moved here last year, only we went to Elemental instead of Barcelona, and it was on our actual birthday. We were sitting across from each other in the middle of Barcelona (which is really cute, btw), and I just blurted out, "We really did it." Her eyes softened and she replied, "No, we're doing it," which I think is the most perfect reply ever.
I can't believe she's lived here for a whole year. Yet at the same time, it seems like it's been so much longer. What a year! I'd write more about it, but it's time to smoosh her with love, and give her her birthday presents because I can't wait any longer. Hee!
