So the director of the Columbus Women's Chorus emailed me (I had inquired about open rehearsals) and said, "Well, you can just come tonight, we're learning new stuff!"

Eeek! I don't even have any time to psych myself up! Do I go? Do I not go? Gah, I have anxiety issues.

And plus, if you don't have time to think about it, you don't have time to be all Libra-like and talk yourself out of it. And then regret that you didn't go.

Just go. I'll be going to my knitting circle again, so maybe it's a good night for new things.

Hell, if you can go to a knitting circle, I can go to a chorus rehearsal.

I'm nervous because my friend Patty (who co-leads the queer youth support group with me) has been in the chorus for a bazillion years, and I'm always weird about people thinking I'm a copycat or something. (Even though she hasn't mentioned it to me in over a year.) I have so many weird hangups.

Well, my knitting all so that I can have a Gryffindor scarf. I've wanted one for a year, and now I'm going to have one! You're SO Gryffindor, so you can expect one too, if I ever finish THIS one. ;)

I seriously owe you a good phone call. You should tell me when is good for you. I knew your weekend would be jam-fucking-packed, and I didn't wanna call you in the middle of stuff. You let me know, and I'll make the call.

Oooh, a Gryffindor scarf! How totally cool! I do believe that is a perfectly acceptable reason for a ninja to join a knitting circle. Besides, those knitting needles can double as sais in a pinch.

As for the phone call, any night after 9 is great, except Wednesday, because that is Simon & Garfunkel day. I look forward to it.
